We loved our stay at this cozy spot hosted by Jeff (Shellreef)! The location was amazing.... easy walk down to the waterfront. The neighborhood is very cute and quiet. The space is nicely laid out, well appointed and very clean! Jeff was quick to respond to anything we needed. And, the little details... the snacks provided, the extra supply of paper goods and bath products... even beach towels. Every detail was thought of. It was like a home away from home! Thanks Jeff!

One of our favorite stays! Clean and beautifully decorated. Great location to downtown area (15 min walk) and quick drive to beach (20 minutes). Well stocked with everything we needed and snacks! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wilmington!

The location was perfect for what we wanted and being able to walk places. We went out most nights and it was about a 15 min walk to downtown. The hosts had everything covered for basic needs and a stocked kitchen for any cooking. It was clean and we felt at home which make our stay even better. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would definitely come back. Although we did not bring a dog they had all basic dog needs covered too! The hosts really did try to think of everything you might need, I was impressed. The only thing I would note as a slight downside is the sound of the air traffic over the cottage here and there but that have nothing to do with the host or the cozy cottage itself. It didn't interfere with sleeping or our enjoyment while there at all. Just something to note for someone that has PTSD with air traffic sounds as a trigger. For the cottage itself we didn't have any downsides, we enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed Shellreef from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted with soft music, fresh strawberries, bananas and other treats, until we locked the door on our way out for the last time. The place was spotless. The furnishings were all comfy, high tech and unique. Beds were comfortable, good quality sheets and towels. We had a problem with the TV but Jeff was very responsive in getting it resolved quickly. Great restaurants close by. We enjoyed our stay in Wilmington and highly recommend Shellreef. We would definitely stay there again.

This house is clean, well appointed, and in a great location. We walked to the historic downtown area and the riverwalk. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the beach is only 20 mins away. Most importantly, the hosts are super responsive and friendly!

Good location only 1 mile from the river walk. It’s also walking distance to Hi-Wire Brewery and other local eats, coffee shops, and bars. Nothing, everything was good. I had one small issue/concern that was unrelated to what was being provided. I brought to their attention. It was very quickly addressed and concern validated.

This place is our go-to when it’s available and we’re in town. A home away from home, we always feel super welcome and taken care of by the owners. Great location accessible to downtown by foot or the beach by car and it’s one of the only airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in that actually has sharp knives in the kitchen for real food prep. You can hear the folks downstairs when you have neighbors, which is just something to be aware of and expected downtown-adjacent. The owners renovated this historic property with a lot of care and there are wonderful elements of their attention to style and detail everywhere. Cant recommend it highly enough.

It was our 2nd stay at Jeff’s place, but this time we stayed in the first floor unit. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Really appreciate the fresh fruit, snacks and bottled water. Love the bed! Excellent location, close to downtown. Nice, walkable neighborhood! Great host communication and restaurant recommendations. We make frequent trips to Wilmington and we will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Shellreef for our first visit to Wilmington. We loved the location of the property, and we practically never used our car, since we could walk to tons of great restaurants and shops. The place is very clean, well-appointed, has comfortable beds, and was the perfect place to come back and relax after a busy day exploring downtown Wilmington. The host, Jeff, is friendly and responsive. The fresh fruit, water, and snacks he provided for our stay were much appreciated! We tried several of Jeff’s recommendations for restaurants, and each spot was great. The best recommendation was for the free Friday night wine tasting at Wilmington Wine. What a fun local experience! We would definitely stay at Shellreef again in the future when we return to Wilmington.
