This property suited our needs perfectly as we were travelling for a wedding but my partner was still required to do some work calls on European time so was able to use the living area/second bedroom without disturbing me!. It was situated in a quiet neighbourhood just a short 15 min walk from downtown Wilmington. We were welcomed with all the lights and air-con on so it was great not to have to fumble around trying to work these things out in the dark. All the rooms were large with lovely decor that included air-con and a ceiling fan which were very much appreciated. The kitchen was very well appointed with high quality appliances. There was also a lovely, private deck/garden area off the main bedroom. The shower was hot with good pressure, plenty of towels and some essential toiletries were provided which was a lovely touch. There was also an excellent steam iron and ironing board which was very useful to have. The host was very communicative and also provided some great recommendations for local dining options. We had originally planned to stay in a hotel with the rest of the wedding party but had left it too late to book. I am so happy we found this property instead, it was excellent value for money and I think it really enhanced our first time visit to Wilmington. We will definitely return to Wilmington and stay at this property and can highly recommend it to anyone who is considering a stay. Electronic key locks are new to us so it took us about 10 minutes to work it out! It was late when we arrived and jet-lag was probably a factor. Additionally the coffee machine set up was also new to me, so again it took me a little while to work it out. Maybe breaking down how to use these items step by step on a little info sheet would help. My partner is a tea drinker so perhaps some breakfast/herbal tea as an option for the non coffee drinkers? Honestly these are just small suggestions as for us this property was 10/10.

The location was perfect for what we wanted and being able to walk places. We went out most nights and it was about a 15 min walk to downtown. The hosts had everything covered for basic needs and a stocked kitchen for any cooking. It was clean and we felt at home which make our stay even better. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would definitely come back. Although we did not bring a dog they had all basic dog needs covered too! The hosts really did try to think of everything you might need, I was impressed. The only thing I would note as a slight downside is the sound of the air traffic over the cottage here and there but that have nothing to do with the host or the cozy cottage itself. It didn't interfere with sleeping or our enjoyment while there at all. Just something to note for someone that has PTSD with air traffic sounds as a trigger. For the cottage itself we didn't have any downsides, we enjoyed our stay!

Good location only 1 mile from the river walk. It’s also walking distance to Hi-Wire Brewery and other local eats, coffee shops, and bars. Nothing, everything was good. I had one small issue/concern that was unrelated to what was being provided. I brought to their attention. It was very quickly addressed and concern validated.
